Thames-Side Studios Lounge (Unit 0)

Unbound, Michèle Fuirer and Sally McKay
Exhibition Dates: 8 April - 7 May 2017

Unbound suggests not bound by the singularity of the print medium, as well as the freedom or lack of restraint in finding the image. Printmaking for each artist is part of a wider practice. Both artists are driven by other media which come into the printmaking and flow through it. In the case of McKay drawing from live performance and in the case of Fuirer framing the image through her association with film and photography.
Michèle Fuirer (0-50) holds an MA in Fine Art and an M. Phil in Cultural Studies. Her career as an artist combines work with people in educational settings, project management and programme curation in museums and galleries of contemporary art. Currently she is a Curator in Public Programmes, Tate London.
Sally McKay (0-17) is a Goldsmiths graduate with a Fine Art and Dance degree and an MA in Fine Art from City & Guilds of London Art School. Sally is Resident Artist at Greenwich Dance and member of the Printmakers Council.
