Daya Dodds' The Soldier With No Name wins Best Original Short Story at Monaco Film Festival

Thames-Side Studios-based Daya Dodds' (TB-111) Giant Squid Productions is an independent film production company created two years ago with a focus on stories with a social conscience and awareness. Their latest short film The Soldier With No Name was officially selected at the Monaco Film Festival and won Best Original Short Story.

Full production notes can be found here:

The film is based on true events about two French step-sisters/lovers, Claude Cahun and Marcel Moore, who distributed anti-Nazi propaganda to the German soldiers while they were living on Jersey during the occupation 1940-1945. The film is still on the festival run and Daya is hoping for more exposure.

Currently Daya is working on his first feature film The Treasures We Find.
